The First Medical Conference After Taiwan MICE Unblocking Announcement
Thousands of people will drive domestic demand business opportunities
The Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) welcomed the FIRST official medical conference, the 50th Annual Meeting of the Cardiology Society of the Republic of China, from July 25 to 26 after lifting the restriction on Taiwan MICE in the middle of June. The academic convention was attended by more than 1,700 participants. In the previous June and July, there were also music concerts and corporate performance commendations with more than 1,000 people held at TICC.
President Huang Rui Ren of the Cardiology Society of the Republic of China mentioned that it is currently difficult to handle international conferences when the foreign epidemic has not slowed down. The domestic conference was originally scheduled to be held in May and had to be postponed to July due to the epidemic. Fortunately, Taiwan’s overall excellent performance in epidemic prevention, whether it is the rapid decision-making, dispatching and command of the Central Epidemic Command Center (CDC), the active investment of the national mask team, or the rapid formulation of guidelines of handling exhibition and meeting activities by Burean of Froeign Trade, MEA. Furthermore, all relevant units at the conference thoroughly implemented the high-standard epidemic prevention practices before, during and after the conference. With the joint cooperation of all links, the event can proceed smoothly, allowing the organizers and participants to participate in peace of mind and complete it successfully.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, TICC has complied with the various epidemic prevention measures of the central epidemic prevention unit to protect the health of the participants. During the conference, TICC provided temperature measurement at the each entrance and proceeded regular environmental cleaning and disinfection in the venue, in addition, cleaned the desktop, disinfected used microphones and the laser pointers with alcohol, the replacement of the microphone covers after each event to provide a safe meeting environment for the organizer and all attendees.
