TAITRA venues attract customers to become good green partners to implement sustainable exhibitions

To actively practice the goals of environmental sustainability, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) invited businesses to join the "ESG Green MICE Partnership." The initiative rallies various stakeholders including public associations, corporate clients, contract partners to collectively work towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Through tangible actions, the aim is to implement sustainable practices. Companies achieving 7 or more SDGs will be recognized as Gold Partners, while those achieving 3 to 6 SDGs will be acknowledged as Silver Partners. All members of this program can have discount on equipment rental fees when renting meeting or exhibition space at the Taipei World Trade Center, Taipei International Convention Center, and Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Halls 1 and 2.

This year, a total of 40 entities including schools, public associations, and exhibition industry participants have enthusiastically responded, contributing their efforts for the betterment of the planet. Environmental sustainability has become a global trend, and the TAITRA's "ESG Green MICE Partnership" initiative unites businesses in practicing environmental protection, reducing plastic and carbon footprint, and promoting circular green energy. The initiative strives to inspire more people in the exhibition industry to collaborate and advance the cause of industry sustainability.
